Option 2: Manually Configure Your Computer Mac OS 7/8/9
- Launch the “Network Preferences Panel&rdquo by following these steps:
- Double-click the Hard Drive icon on the Desktop.
- Locate the folder called “Assistants” and open it.
- Locate the icon labeled “Internet Setup Assistant” and double-click it.
- The “Interent Setup Assistant” will launch. Make selections as shown in the following screenshots.

- From this point on, you navigate the Assistant by click the left and right arrows in the lower right-hand corner of the window.

- Type “Hubris” in the white box.
- Select “Modem.”

- The correct name of your modem should appear automatically in the box.
- Make sure other options are set as shown.

- Type the Hubris Communications dial-up phone number for your city. Enter the number using standard dashes (but no parentheses.) Enter the number exactly as you would dial it on your telephone, including a “1” and area code if necessary.
- In the second field, type in your full email address in all lowercase letters.
- In the third field, type in your password. Passwords must be entered with correct capitalization.

- If you have OS 9: Leave both fields blank.
- If you have OS 8: DNS numbers must be specified in the Internet Setup Assistant. Follow these additional instructions to enter the correct settings:
- Click inside the large white box.
- Type "207.178.96.2" (without the quotes), then press the RETURN key on your keyboard.
- Type "207.178.96.3" (without the quotes).
- Click inside the second white box.
- Type in your domain. This is the part of your email address which comes after the @-symbol.
- Click the right arrow to continue.

- Enter your full email address in all lowercase letters in the first box.
- In the second box, type in your password. This is the same password you typed before.
- Leave the third white box blank.

- In the first white box, type in your user name...
- Then type the '@' symbol...
- Then type your incoming mail server name.
