Scheduled Outage Wednesday Jan 28th 00:00

This is a message from the Network Engineering department at Hubris Communications. The purpose of this message is to notify you of a planned maintenance window for Wednesday January 28th, 2009 at 00:00 CST (midnight on Tuesday night).

During this maintenance window we will be replacing a UPS that runs much of our core networking equipment and most of our mail servers. This outage will affect all customers of Hubris Communications who use our email servers and may affect all customers for brief periods. During the UPS swap it will not be possible for customers to pick up new mail. Incoming mail will continue to be accepted by us but will not be delivered until after the maintenance is complete.

In addition, all internet connectivity will be impacted for short periods of time. At a minimum we will be taking advantage of this maintenance window to reboot two core routers. These reboots should take 5 minutes or less. However, it is possible internet access could be impacted for slightly longer.

This maintenance window is scheduled to take approximately 30 minutes. Actual outage time should be considerably less.

We apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause but this upgrade is necessary in order to replace UPS batteries and make a few other power related changes.
